David Rients
Consultation Attorney
David Rients serves as a Consultation Attorney with The Legacy Lawyers, P.C., where he helps prospective clients better understand their legal options and gain a greater sense of control over difficult or uncertain circumstances. With more than 34 years of legal experience, David brings seasoned judgment, clear communication, and a client-centered approach to every consultation.
David believes that an effective consultation begins with listening. He works to ensure that each prospective client feels heard, supported, and informed, while providing an honest assessment of the legal issues involved and the potential paths forward. His approach reflects The Legacy Lawyers’ core values of integrity, accountability, and thoughtful representation.

Experience
David grew up in Iowa before moving to Orange County to attend law school. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1992 and has practiced law in Orange County for more than three decades, with a primary focus on general civil litigation.
Throughout his career, David has represented and advised clients across a wide range of civil matters, developing the practical judgment and perspective that come from decades of legal practice. Today, he applies that experience in his role as a Consultation Attorney, helping prospective clients identify the key issues in their matters, understand what legal remedies may be available, and determine the most appropriate next steps.
In addition to his legal practice, David spent 15 years as an adjunct professor at Santa Ana College, where he taught courses in the Paralegal-Business Department. His experience as an educator further shaped his ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear, accessible, and practical manner.
David is honored to bring his years of legal and teaching experience to The Legacy Lawyers, helping clients one consultation at a time.
